Homrong: The Overture

I watched this very touching film durin my SE3221 lecture class today.
Since the module is about thai music, the film is closely related as it's about one of Thai music masters.

Overview (my own):
This film is about one of the thai music masters who tries his best to keep the beauty of traditional thai music in Thailand, despite the "law" made aganist the playing of traditional music. The film also shows the life story of a talented child who is gifted in playing the Ranak Ek (thai xylaphone) and the ups and downs which he went through.

This is one film which made me teared in class towards the end while watching it. Having the ability to understand the strong will of the music master to keep the root of the traditional thai music in the streets of Thailand.
I recommend this film for those who are interested in music in the southeast asia.

Here's a preview (I hope it works).
